Hey everyone :) My name is Laura and I had Gastric Bypass surgery back in July of 2007. My starting weight was 342.. feel free to track my progress on my weight loss history chart!

WLS has given me a new lease on life.. I now eat to live, I no longer live to eat. I no longer look at food like a friend, more like an enemy. Losing weight has been great for my life so far. I have higher self-esteem than I ever have and I enjoy things that I never used to (like exercise and vegetables HAHA)

My Diet!
My diet consists of eating foods that are rich in protein and very low in refined sugars and fats. I don't focus too much on carbs- I can only eat a very small amount and the majority of my diet is reserved for proteins so there isn't a ton of room for carbohydrates!

in need of some adivce
I had WLS to aid with my weightloss since my weight was so out of control... but the basis to my diet is less simple carbs (complex carbs are good in moderation), little to no refined sugar (substitute with sucralose whenever possible), low calorie drinks (no soda) and find foods that are low in fat.
