I am 24yrs old and have 2 little ones. Since my last pregnancy I gained 40lbs and have kept on 20lbs of it. I am following the Atkins program in hopes of breaking my carb addiction and at least getting back to my pre-baby weight of 174lbs, but I would be ecstatic to reach around 150lbs to achieve the ideal healthy weight for my height.

Lifting heavy?
I started doing CrossFit last month and just kind of dove head first into it without having worked out in like 6yrs!!! We do olympic lifts along with regular lifts you would see at a gym...like squats, deadlifts, curls, etc. And the best thing is that there are men and women both in CrossFit! I would say the biggest thing to work on starting out is your form, get light weights or even a PVC pipe to practice with. Look up some YouTube videos on whatever type of lift you are wanting to do and then practice in front of a mirror. Once you've gotten your stance/form down then move on to adding enough weight to where you can finish your reps with feeling challenged towards the end of your reps. Once you can complete those reps without much struggle then up the weight a little bit so you can be more challenged. Happy lifting! Smile

Avacados and jicama, my two favs.

I love avocados as well, but what does jicama taste like? I've seen it in stores in little strips, but I've never tasted it... I am curious though Razz

How to shape my BOOTY!
Alright, so after 2 kids and an office job all over the course of 6yrs seems to have flattened out my booty. I used to have a nice bubble butt going on, but it seems like it got stretched and is wider now. Of course I'm about 20lbs heavier than I was 6yrs ago and all I do is sit most of the day at a desk. So what I want to know if how can I SHAPE my booty to get the bubble back without going to the gym. I need exercises that I can easily do at home. Thanks to everyone in advance! Wink

What Happens When You...
Thank you Jaime30024 and everyone else! I figured that it wasn't so much the meal, but the cravings followed by the binge that would come after that does people in. Geesh carbs/sugar are starting to sound like crack to me! Thank you everyone for your advice, I think I will prepare for it and save most of my carbs for that evening and enjoy a steak or salmon with veggies/salad and splurge on a dessert. For me, it’s pasta and bread…like rolls, breadsticks and crackers that get me, so I’ll plan to stay away from those Wink
