I'm 39 years old and happily married to my best friend. Between us we have 7 children and 6 3/4 grandchildren. My husband has 5 and I have 2, the 6 grandkids are from his fist 2 daughters and the 3/4 is from my oldest and should be introducing himslef to us any day now. I have 3 birds that I just love, 2 cockatiels and a sun conure. I enjoy riding our Harley...(I'm the passenger, I a bit of a sissy) We ussually ride with our friends on the weekends. I just started up a travel business which I think I am going to really love.
I started having difficulty with my weight about 4 years ago, it started to slowly creep on and I didn't really notice it until I took an old pair of shorts and held them up to a pair I wear today and wow what a reality check. Since then I have tried: the 6 week body make over, south beach, weight watchers, the biggest loser and who knows waht else. I have failed at each one of them. It's a mind set I know, but I felt very deprived on these diets. My dr recommended the atkins. He stated that it might be to restrictive, but I have not found that to be the case so far, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything....well except french fries :)

Spice up my steak
My husband makes the best steaks, he lets them get to room temp then puts salt, pepper, garlic powder and McCormic's spicey steak seasoning on, first one side, then he rubs the spices in for a good 3-4 minutes turns them over and repeats. Then we let them sit for an hour or so and put them on the grill. It's really good

exercise to lose thighs
Thats my problem area too, the one thing that I found is I tend to gain muscle faster in my thighs then any where else so when I am strength training I have to be careful how I work my legs. I use less weights and more reps or if you can try pilates, that works on not only stregth but flexability. Good luck and congrats on losing!!
