Hey becky they help tone the legs but im not convinced on the butt muscles there a copy of a set of trainers that have been out for a few years called MBT's fairly pricey mind at around £120-150 a pair.

But u should check out there website for info on them as a few of my clients have them.

weight training will help strip fat from around the body as your buring calories but machines usually are specific to a certain area. You need to keep working on those crunches but using differnt styles rather than the standard crunch. Make sure u encorporate the obliques and try some core exercises. I can forward abb exercise if u would like some. just drop me an email and I will try to include pictures ith the description im sure the guys in work ont mind me using the pics i have of them in my core/weights guide until I can get my pics taken of me.

Sj

P.S its a shame there aint a section on here where I could dedicate diffrent exercise ith descriptions and pics

I'm just saying, all these things are presented as Right or Wrong when you read them. I've come to understand there is no Right or Wrong when it comes to exercise. Maybe Body Pump works because we're women... I don't know. But it certainly goes against a lot of things I've read. And the results speak for themselves. BTW, I've also built a lot of muscle consuming less than 15% of my calories from protein- another myth BUSTED! You have to try it yourself before you buy it, that's my advice.

Exactly my help has been aimed at women =O) I teach body pump and total body work out and there both fantastic classes the point is that women are designed differntly to men and different things work for differrent people.

I werent having a dig earlier but in fairness u shouldnt always believe everyhting u read with out trying it out... take for instance of the fitness mags out there... some those exercise are shown completely rong with seriously bad technique yet people still copy it.

im not saying the book u have read are wrong as im sure uve read some medical/ sports science ones just as I have. But u need to look at it in the laymens view and not over complicate things the techniques u have stated are not wrong but there just not necessary right for women I have been training since I was 11 first in the field of atheltics for 10-11 years and including volleyball netball football, hockey and gym based etc and have tried hundereds of differnt exercises and programmes im just saying that the typical rouitne for women wanting to get that toned look is the higher reps with reasonable weight. Granted that the weight should be increased as it gets easier but its bog standard practise in most gyms. Women dont heal as quick as men do in the old tear and repair department. we also usually go for a full body ork out when doing weight where as most guys will opt for working oposite muscle groups or specific muscles.

As for body pump/sculpt or Total body work out if any of u ladies can attend these classes then give it a whirl there fantastic for a good all over work out and gaining that all over toned look.

yep, i do HIIT cardio as well. I can't be bothered to count seconds so my intervals are one minute at a time-increasing the levels of resistence each time so that i max out every 3 minutes. After 20 minutes i've burned twice the calories i would with just 30 straight minutes on the machine.

Good training plan =o) I use very simmilar intensitys whilst training myself
