I have always been overweight and have always craved for that well toned body to wear and flaunt good dresses. I am going to be 33 this year and while people can call it a "midlife crisis", I think that this might be my last chance to free myself from this extra baggage before I think I am too old to do it :)
The first change I brought was to respect myself and start to take care of myself. I have a beautiful 5 yr old daughter and I devote all my time left after work and chores to her. But I realise that I need to love myself to be able to love and care for others.
Losing a lot of weight is hard and it takes a long time. And a sweet tooth and crazy love for chocolate doesnt help either. But I need to be disciplined and honest with myself. I will not let my body pay for my tongue's lust. So here I am..Looking for all the suppport I can get..

My rewards have to involve food so here it is..
75 Kg- Caramel Mocha Sundae from my fav icecream shop- REACHED 6th May 2011
70 Kg- time to go shopping..some new outfits
65 Kg- sign up for swimming class..never learnt it as I was ashamed to wear a bikini. Go for a exotic dinner with hubby where I eat till I drop.
60 Kg- buy myself the best dress that money can buy ( read I can afford :)
58 Kg- Show off !! Love myself.

Should I up my RDI on days where I exercise more?
I have read at numerous places that workouts beyond 45 minutes tend to get counter-productive. So you might want to google on longer duration workouts and decide if its worth the time. Also, if you keep your workouts shorter, there would be no need for more calories as insulin doesnt drop for an extended period of time. I would schedule a high protein quick absorbing meal one hour before the workout and some kind of shake just after.

Help me with Glute and Leg home exercise routine
Hi all,

I have the bowling pin kinda body and want to get rid of the dispropotionate lower body.Tried to go to the gym several times last year but just could not manage.

I am planning to get a elliptical trainer or treadmill at home. Also, buying a weights bar and some dumbbells. All I need is a good and effective home exercise plan. Please help.

Giving up a favorite food
I have been on diet for last 6 years on and off and it was never has enjoyable as it is now. Thanks to FS and the awesome buddies I found here. Diet is not about deprivation, its a celebration of new way of living. I eat whatever I want but by planning it in my weekly target. I dont do daily counting as it leads to frustation over a extra cookie or so. But I try to stay within healthy zones on a weekly basis. I am losing weight and I dont feel the pinch Smile

How can I lose weight without being able to exercise?
I love you all..You all are great people and I am grateful for your advice. One great benefit of gymming is sore muscles which ache even when you take food to your mouth Smile So I am missing that and have been more indulgent than I wanted to. But as you guys said, weight loss is possible without exercise or daily routine kinda moves, I think I am going to regularize my eating to move in the rigth direction until gym asks me on a date again. THANK YOU!

How can I lose weight without being able to exercise?
Hi all,

Let me first clarify for people who are going to respond by saying that "you are a lazy bum if yor dont exercise for less than 6 times a week", I intend to exercise and was doing so consistenly for last 2 months.

Lately, I am in a rough patch at work and taking an hour out for exercise ( that too applies only when I am not travelling) is not happening anymore. I need to stay on track for a month or so before life comes back to normal again. What I feel is that I am more honest with diet when I exercise. But how do I ensure I keep on losing weight even when I cant exercise or may be do it 1-2 times a week.

Looking for supportive suggestions exclusively!!
