High A1C
I have started trying to get my diabetes under control. I try to keep my sugars under 50 grams a day. I also watch my carb intake. I don't do a low carb diet but I watch my carbs. I started this a month ago. I have lost 3 pounds and today stopped my insulin because my sugar was getting too low. I don't limit my food choice but I decide if it is worth eating or not. I also watch my portion size. This will help with blood sugar also. Just small changes will help you. Example I now make sure my cereal is as low as I can find. I eat the portion it calls for (not a large bowl) and use almond milk which has a trace of sugar and only 30 calorie. I hope this helps you. Good luck. Remember small changes and portion size make huge differences.
