Lost 21 Pounds in 21 Days
Bauribe, you sound a bit like me (except for the age - I'm 63)! You want to see quick results so you don't lose interest and give up on losing weight; I totally get it. I'm 5'10" and was at 211 at the beginning of April, and set a goal of getting to 195 by Memorial Day. May not make it exactly, but weighed in this morning at 196.2, so I'll be close. I've done this almost exclusively by reducing my average daily calorie intake to 1,200 with intermittent light cardio (treadmill and leisure biking). Plan to stay at 195 for a month to get adjusted, and then will target 185 over 5 weeks. Know from past experience (two summers ago I went from 216 to 174 from May to August) that the real trick is keeping it off, but now that I am retired have no excuses! For me, calorie counting is the only thing that works. Best of luck to you (and us)!
