Bebopping along on maintenance. It has been a busy few weeks. Mom's shingles are better, but still uncomfortable and sharp pains still happen but not nearly as often as before. Hubby's cataract surgery went well. He has the other eye done next Tuesday. My foot is doing ok, still bothers if on it too much, but so much better than before. My sister has been having serious issues with weakness and stamina for the past few months, we blamed it on her RA. Doc put her in hospital for pneumonia and ordered an echocardiogram. Her aortic stenosis has suddenly gone from mild to critical!! Two weeks in the hospital and goes back next week for a heart valve replacement. We are still kinda in shock! I stayed at the hospital with her for 4 days, but then had to leave to take hubby for his eye surgery. Jeez!! It has been a whirl wind!!

Weight staying the same, would like to be down a couple of pounds but not bad enough to do anything about it apparently. Spent almost a week with my momma, she has shingles and something called Shamberg's Disease. The shingles have been so very painful. Knee replacement has been postponed because of these other complications. It has been awful for her. Didn't get diagnosed in time for the shot that helps. Our son and grandson spent labor day weekend with us. DIL still not venturing very far due to her broken leg, tho she is coming along pretty well. Hubby has cataract surgery next week, hope that goes well. I am finally out of the boot. Been wearing it for 3 months, figured it had done it's due. Foot is finally pretty much pain free. Hope all my FS friends are doing well. I enjoy keeping up with your posts.

All of a sudden it has been a month since I've weighed in or posted a journal entry. It has been busy. Celebration of life for my sister was 2 weeks ago. Had a nice gathering of immediate family. Went through lots of pictures and I found some of my Daddy that I had never seen before. Been going to PT for this darn foot and am finally seeing some improvement. I took off the boot for good on Monday, been wearing it for 3 months and figure it has done all it can. Today is our 54th wedding anniversary!! Where did the years go?? I still love that man with all my heart! I wish everyone was as lucky as me choosing their mate. I was 16 when we got married. One of those teenage marriages that isn't supposed to work. Guess we showed them!!

Hanging in there weight staying the same. I received the terrible news that one of my sisters passed away in her sleep last week. She had been struggling with health issue for awhile now. She had gotten extremely heavy and diabetes had damaged her kidneys to the point she was on dialysis. She and I had so much fun together through the years. I love her deeply.
I'm still in the boot, went to the podiatrist last Thursday and she was great. Says I have sinus tarsi syndrome. Gave a steroid shot in my foot and I'm to stay off as much as possible for 2 weeks and then start PT.
Hubby is doing well, but still has a terrible limp. 2 more weeks til he goes back to the doctor. DIL has successful surgery last Tuesday. 3 screws installed in her tibia and now she is non weight bearing for 6 weeks. She is about to die of boredom!
It would seem we are a family of the walking wounded!!

Stuck at 132, which isn't all bad, but would like to be down a few more pounds. My poor daughter in law fell and broke her leg last Thursday. She will have surgery next Tuesday to install 3 pins if the swelling has gone down enough by then. She is in lots of pain. We had a wonderful 4th of July with friends and family. Love me some fireworks!! Went to a surprise birthday party for my sister and had a good time visiting with family. She was really surprised, it was held at the country club and the staff called her that her husband had gotten overheated while go golfing and she needed to come pick him up. When she walked in we were all waiting for her! Good times! I'm still in the boot and hubby is improving daily. Hope you all are enjoying your summer.
