My Weight Loss
I've always been overweight and never really tried to lose it until I was 24 or 25. I was successful (75 down) but got sidetracked by an injury and laziness. I'd like to get healthy, since there's a lot of things I'd like to do in life.

I am using RDI to keep track of my eating daily and am trying to eat as many healthy foods as possible.

About Me
I live in Ontario, about forty-five minutes from Toronto. I'm a teacher. I love my friends and family (as hopefully you all do). I'm a total geek/nerd and have a lot of hobbies. I also enjoy writing so you will see ridiculously long journal entries that are mostly stream of consciousness.

Goal Weights
I had mine at 145 (correct weight for my height and age), but I've never been a healthy weight before. I was already hovering near 200 in high school (if one can hover while near 200 pounds Wink ) I took the approach of another member of this site and increase mine. Then I will set myself another goal. I'm better at smaller achievable goals and that way I can adjust based on how I feel plus feel success for reaching my goals!

Sure!

Click on MyFatSecret.

On the right is "My Toolbox." Click on "My Signature." The ticker should be an option after the writing section. Hope that helps!

Calorie limit
Weight Watchers goes the same way. The more you weigh, the most calories or points it gives you so your body doesn't enter "starvation mode."

Cheat day
Whatever works for you is right.

I can't do it, personally. I need to keep counting or I won't count at all.

Yesterday, I had a splurgy day with brie, dip, and a dinner out at the Keg including crème brûlée for dessert. However, I was really careful about amounts and split the decadent dessert. I also made sure to have ahi tuna and salad for my meal. I get a certain amount of flexibility during the week (similar to WW), so I just lost some of that. If I have a day where I don't count, for me, it would turn in to days, then weeks, then months...
