Hello my fellow full figured friends.
50 something year old veteran and former smoker here. Quit smoking 8 years ago. Started eating as a substitute,,, Started putting on Lbs. Always a challenge for former smokers. A couple months ago found myself nearing 60 Lbs over weight. Figured 'twas time to fix that. Started a high protein-low carb diet offered by my health care provider. Six week in and about 24 Lbs down. Half way there. The hardest part this time of the year is ignoring all the aromas wafting in from my neighbors barbecue. But the protein shakes I've been drinking do a pretty good job of appeasing my appetite. Hopefully I can hold out till I reach my goal. No, wait, change that to I WILL hold out till my goal is reached. Got to keep positive. And that goes for you too,, :-)
