Need to lose this weight asap!
At the risk of oversimplifying, it really comes down to counting calories. A starting point would be to enter your information in fatsecret, then target about 80-85% 0f the RDI.
That would roughly put you at 2lbs per week. The only way to pick up a third pound, would be to exercise regularly... If you could burn 3200-3500 extra calories a week. That is an extra pound. So, that would give you a total loss of 9 weeks if you start tomorrow. That would be 27 pounds.
My tip would be to enter everything you eat. I honestly don't think weight loss above 2-3 pounds a week is reasonable or safe based on what I have read. I am losing 3.2 pounds per week after flatlining on WW for over a month.

New kid on the block....
I was on weight watchers for 8 weeks. I followed all of the meals and points... never using the extra points. It is a good program, but I believe it is overly complicated. In reality, it is a complicated form of calorie counting. It does reward you for eating good foods, but sometimes too much. A banana is 0 points... but it still has a 100+ calories.
My weight basically dropped 5 pounds, then held steady for a month. I simply entered my information on this site, and ate less than the RDI (recommended daily intake). The first week, the formula says I should have lost 2.7 pounds, I lost 3.2. I am down another 2.0 pounds in less than a week.
It really comes down to counting calories.

Predictable weight loss
I took the RDI recommended by Myfatsecret, then targeted 80-85% of the RDI daily. I lost 3.2 pounds. The one pound promised by Fatsecret, and 1.9 pounds as calculated by eating under the RDI. That's a total of 2.9 pounds. That's real close to the 3.2 I lost.
I am now convinced calorie counting without gimmicks is the only way to lose. That is pretty darned accurate.
