My name is Becky. I am the proud Mama of 2 beautiful children! Logan age 6, and Abby age 2. I come from an over weight family, and have always been considered "chunky". Some of my earliest memories involve being the "fat girl" at school. My parents never taught me to eat right. I had a very poor diet growing up. I'm aware of the consequences of eating the wrong things, and am beginning to start a new healthy life style. I struggle with a very addictive personality. I smoked for 10 years, and finally managed to quit by vowing to God I'd never touch another cigarette as long as I live. I have huge issues with Soda. I use to drink a 12 pack of diet coke everyday, until someone finally got it through my head how bad aspartame really is. Then I switched to regular soda which is an addiction I currently struggle with. I struggle with a lack of motivation to lose weight, and an indifference to being "fat". In fact I almost never see my self as my true size. I know I need to be healthy for my children. They need a good example, and a good diet. Someone needs to break the cycle so the next generation doesn't have our struggle.

He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. Proverbs 13:3

low carb snacks?
Thanks everyone for th great idea! @ Ninjapanda, induction is the first phase of the atkins diet, and is the most restricted as far as carb intake goes.

low carb snacks?
I am currently working on a list of ideas of what to eat during induction. I plan to get a good list together and go back on induction. If you guys have any good alternatives for sweet treats, snack foods, and breakfast items it would be appreciated!

Brekafast!
Thanks for posting this! I struggle with what to have for breakfast and for snacks big time! Especially with things that are fast. I've never been big on eggs, but my favorite breakfast has been.... A 4 oz piece of steak seasoned with onion powder, 1/2 a avacado sliced on top with an egg over easy on top of that. The onion powder is awesome, I usually keep the onion powder by my plate and sprinkle it on as I see fit. I use left over steak. It's a quick breakfast all I have to do is slice the avacado, and cook my egg.

To hCG or not to hCG - please advise
I read kevin Trudeau's weight loss cure book about the hcg diet and everything in there is backed with some awesome facts. I recommend reading it if you can. In his book he stated that the only time a fat cell can ever die is if you are 1 starving, or 2 pregnant. So by doing the hcg diet you trick your body into thinking you are pregnant and can kill your fat cells. Fat cells when you loose weight normaly just shrink, making it easy to gain back. If I were you I would read his book (got mine at borders) and then take some time to decide if you think it is right for you. I have had lots of friends who have done the hcg diet and have kept off the weight, and boy do they look great!! I would love to do the diet my self but am to young to get the injections. You have to be 28, not sure why. Hope this was helpful! Wishing you the best!

how much is too much?
Go to the library and get Dr. atkins book. Read it then start again. Looks to me that you are not eating near enough. The more I eat it seems the more I lose on the Atkins diet. Hope this helps!
