I'm a 25 year old New Yorker and over the past year or so I've gained about 30 pounds. I just let myself go and stopped caring. At this point I'm tired of being the DUFF (designated ugly fat friend) and tired of not being able to fit into my clothes a few weeks after I buy them. I deserve better, I deserve to feel good about myself.

I joined my local TOPS chapter and I'm really enjoying it. The support is amazing as is the accountability and THAT is what will make me lose this weight. My first weigh in was last Tuesday and I had already lost 3.5 pounds! I can't wait to see what the future brings. :)

What can you guys recommend for the best Dancing workout?
Crunch Fitness puts out a Cardio Dance Blast DVD that I LOVE. I have two left feet and have a really difficult time keeping up with step aerobics and many dance videos but this one I was able to pick up quickly. The instructor, Maria, is a lot of fun - not annoying and in general it's a great workout. I think it's 45 minutes long? And you can get the DVD anywhere for about $10.
