I'm a 51 year old gal from Nova Scotia, Canada with two beautiful grown daughters and a 5 month old grandson who is the joy of my life. I'm a retired-by-injury Paramedic, and through a combination of a more sedentary lifestyle since I left ambulance work, AND the side effects of some medications, I've managed to pack on 40 lbs over the past few years. Grr. But I've struggled with various degrees of obesity since my teens. I am a full time writer and also enjoy quilting. I look forward to joining everyone on their journey to a healthier lifestyle.
