Hello All...
Thank you all so much for your warm welcome. I'm excited about the progress I've made already, and it's amazing how motivating it is to see those numbers on the scale going down. I've already noticed a few changes in my body and my energy level (this wretched cold notwithstanding). I look forward to the day when I can chase my little ones around the park and not be out of breath in five minutes. Smile

Best time for doing exercise, morning or night?
I prefer to exercise in the morning too. Partly because by the time evening rolls around, I'm worn out (two toddlers will do that to you) and partly because I just know me. If I get up at 5:30am, throw on my work out clothes and get out the door before I have much of a chance to really wake up I won't be able to talk myself out of it. It also works out well because my husband is home to look after the kids if they wake up early.

Hello All...
I'm new to the forums here, and I wanted to pop in and say hello.

I have been overweight my whole life, and obese since college. After two go rounds with gestational diabetes, I've recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

Since Dec '12 I have lost a little over 40 pounds, and I still have a long way to go. My long term goals: to lose 140ish pounds (including what I've already lost), to be medication free (high blood pressure, diabetes), and to be the active, happy, and healthy mom that my babies deserve.

I'm focusing on smaller targets right now... looking at each 5lbs instead of the big picture, getting my blood sugars in line, exercising daily (walking 6km), drinking lots of water, and cutting carbs.

Looking forward to connecting with others... Smile
