I am 46 years old, married, mother of three grown kids, and a registered nurse. I have many pets that I love, including four dogs, a cat, a parrot, a horse, a donkey, and many chickens and quail.
I love my life out in the country. My chickens give us lots of fresh eggs, which are way better tasting than store-bought! I even love hearing the crow of a rooster and the braying of my donkey.(My neighbors may not be as enthusiastic about about them, but we aren't crammed on top of each other so hopefully it isn't too bad for them.)
When I am not working, )I love my job too) I love to spend time outside with the critters or to relax in my favorite chair with my Kindle.
My favorite exercise is walking, but I hope to start doing some yoga and Pilates here at home too. I have a mat and some videos, just haven't put them in the player. One day I would like to start running again, and maybe start doing a few 5K races.
I am not much for spending a ton of time in the kitchen, but when I do cook, I think I am a pretty good chef. I love following a recipe, but I also love to tweak them. I'm just not into cooking every day.
I have gained and lost more times than I can count. I have tried way too many diet pills and miracle supplements. Typically, I need some motivating factor outside of my own personal well-being to motivate me to lose and to exercise regularly.
In the meantime, my newest and most favorite hobby is my horse! I call him Jethro. He's still young, only 4, and that means he needs lots of attention and time. I'm not into showing and rodeo or anything. I just like to get on and ride. With a young horse, it's always an adventure.
This is my life, and I love it! I just want to be healthier so that I can love it longer, and lighter so that I can love it without putting so much stress on my body.(Plus, not to put too much weight on Jethro's back!!)
