Potluck Christmas Party! I'm scared!!
Tomorrow is the Christmas party at the church I work for. It's covered dish this year which has to be better than last year's fried fish. Still, I'm hoping to make smart choices. I'm taking a ham so know I can have that. Hopefully there will be some green beans, salad, or a veggie tray. I'm counting calories. Any suggestions?

Men Living with Gout?
My husband is a gout sufferer and after a lot of trial & error we finally realized his trigger is shellfish. He is not a big seafood fan anyway so that was no problem BUT - he kept having gout attacks even after eliminating it from his diet! Turns out there is shellfish in most multi vitamins, joint supplements, etc. We read labels VERY carefully now. I also found a diet online (and have been unable to find it again!) where you eat no other meats but dark meat chicken and freshwater fish. We did that faithfully for 30 days and it did rid him of the high uric acid levels in his bloodwork. He taked a prescription for gout daily and has been much better. Hope this is some help.
