Hi!! My name is Kathy and I'm a 49 year old mom of 3 adult children. Our oldest son and his wife have given us 2 grand-daughters! Our youngest son and his wife just recently blessed us with another grand-daughter! Our daughter is focusing on her career and has plenty of time for marriage and kids later. I have been happily married for 27 years which in July will be 28 years!! I am doing my best to make a LIFESTYLE change in not just my eating habits but also my outlook on life and people.

My peak weight was 256 and my lowest weight so far on this journey has been 169 which was due to being so sick and down from a surgery. I then gained and went up to where I am now.

I have kept most of the weight off for 3 years, fluctuating between 5-7 lbs... up and down but I have not reached my ultimate goal. I am pledging today, to work HARD towards reaching my ultimate goal of 165! My motto has become, "It's not one day at a's one MEAL at a time!" I want to be an encouragement to others here on Fat Secret!! We can do this my friends!!!!

Diabetic recipes that REALLY are low carb!
Being a Type II Diabetic for 5 years I have had my ups and downs and that's not just in my sugar levels! Everybody always says that you have to make it a lifestyle and not a diet....well I got so sick of hearing that from people who were born with great genes, skinny, and no medical problems! So, I decided to do my research and boy have I done my research!! I have come up with some recipes and tricks to help diabetics or those just wanting to cut carbs.

I will randomly post recipes that I have came up with on my own that have been tested, changed, and retested. Today's recipe will be what I had for breakfast this morning. I hope you all look for them and enjoy them!!!


1 TBSP of frozen chopped onions (4 calories / 1 carb)
1 TBSP of frozen chopped green peppers (2 calories / .43 carbs)
6 TBSP of Eggbeaters WHITES (50 calories / 0 carbs)
2 links of Brown n Serve sausage ( 90 calories / 1 carb)

Lightly spray a frying pan with non-stick spray. (0 calories / 0 carbs)
Chop the sausage links into very small bite size pieces and toss into the hot pan along with the onions and green peppers. Cook until tender and lightly browned. Pour the Eggbeaters into the pan and mix with the other ingredients. Stir until almost throughly cooked then spread the mixture evenly in the pan and place a lid on the pan. Cooked until firm and enjoy!!!

A grand total of 146 Calories and 2.43 Carbs so you can add more eggs if you want to increase your calorie intake to ward off hunger before lunch...protein will do that for you!

AGAIN....because the ingredients are ALL convenient items this will cook and be ready to eat within minutes!! You know that if you had to chop the onions and green peppers on a busy crazy morning you wouldn't do it....I know that I didn't!! PLUS...the frozen items last longer than the fresh and at a TBSP at a time they will last you quite awhile for a $1.29 bag!!
