Female, 68 years young. Had to lose this weight and logging in to MFS everyday and entering every bite works.

I have dieted all my life. I've only been successful when logging in every bite and it's working. I'm starting to sleep better and more energy. Yes, I eat bread everyday. I'm not switching things I eat but rather weighing and measuring. I don't see the point in changing to some extreme diet where you lose and then go back to your regular eating habits. Moderation is the key.

rappid loss
I'm doing same thing and, yes, it's working. I fluctuate the calories to keep body from going into starvation mode but still keeping within the 500-750 intake. Good Luck!

Stay at home dad
FS is your "go to" place. Log all foods and exercise. See where you can cut back or change foods high in calories. Staying at home doesn't mean you sit on your butt all day, with children and plenty of "honey do" jobs at home, you should have no problem shedding the pounds. Best of luck.

New diet pill
Be sure to check with your doctor before taking pills to lose weight. There is no "magic pill" just perseverance and hard work.

Swollen Ankles
With CKD, I have bloating issues. All of the following are natural Diuretics: Asparagus, beets, cranberries, celery, cabbage, cucumbers, garlic, parsley, watermelon. Cut back on sodium (I keep a big bottle of Mrs Dash Garlic and Herb seasoning on hand at all times). Hope this helps.
