Water Fast
Hello, I have not read The Obesity Code but I discovered some of his youtube videos as I posted one of them on this thread. I will start the resistance training soon. I am on my 4th day today and I feel it is the most difficult day of the fast. I believe by tomorrow morning I will have entered into a deep state of ketosis and I will have a lot more energy. Thank you for the message it reaffirms what I am doing, especially for the insulin resistance. I have done two ten day water fast's in previous years and always lost about 20-25 pounds and felt amazing after completing the fast. However not focusing on the long term I put the weight back on. I will adopt a new routine with more training and nutrition that will sustain the leaner healthier physique that I had before I became obese.

Water Fast
Probably right on the how much fat, lean mass and water weight I lost and I also agree to your advice for the long run after my fast is over. This is a fast that I will use for detox and a quick entry into ketosis. The loss in lean mass is very moderate when you are at over 30% body fat. I have a lot of fuel to burn in my reserves. The problem here and in general for people who are obese is regulating insulin levels and nothing gives a better and faster reset for people who are insulin resistant than an extended water fast. There is a lot of information on Water Fasting and its benefits.
