I am Beth. I am not very good at writing and often times will take 20 words to say what others would've said in 5. I am assuming that someone might actually read this. So, if you are and are interested, feel free to send a buddy request.

I am 29 and am for the first time in my life done/fed up with carrying around all this extra baggage (weight). I have never known what it was like to be thin. I have almost always been healthy...good blood pressure, hardly ever sick, good blood sugar readings, etc. However, I have always been heavy. I have had 3 major back surgeries and have permanent nerve damage in my legs which limits my ability to do a great deal of physical activity. I know that losing the amount of weight I am wanting to lose will take time but I am in this for the long haul! I am not trying to lose weight to be skinny, beautiful, desirable, etc. I want to be able to do things that other people do without having to consider my weight as a factor (ie: roller coasters, flying, sitting in chairs, etc.) and I want to be as healthy as I possibly can be!

I am separated with no children. When I left my husband in November 2009, I weighed 324 lbs. As far as I know this was my heaviest weight. I am currently at 289 and dropping about 3 lbs a week.
