22 years old, married for almost 2 years. Yo-yo dieter, sucker for 'trendy diets', interested in nutrition and how the body works, LOVES exercising, also loves sugary/bread products, recovering caffeine addict, in competition with a work friend to lose 25lbs first. I'm new to this fatsecret thing...Feel free to send me a message. :)

My 'diet' is basically LOTS of vegetables and fruits with lean meat (usually fish) or nuts as my main source of protein. I try to stay away from any and all sugary foods (used to be a big time sugar addict) and find healthy alternatives to them (Like those delicious ginger chews and larabars!). I've also been using Slimquick for the past few months and it's really helping keep my hunger and cravings in check.

**edit**
I managed to lose 13lbs during the competition with a co-worker (he lost 14). I'd still like to lose another 10 and stay between 120-130. So I'm going to start this up again. :)

DIET PILLS
I also think not many replied to this because from what I've read on forums people are trying to be 'healthy' and don't want to be looked down upon because they aren't 'strong enough' to lose weight the old fashion way. *Just an observation.* Wink I'm sure there's soooo many people on this site that have tried diet pills.

DIET PILLS
There are some diet pills that work with minimal side effects. I tried the green tea pills... they were beneficial in the way they had enough caffeine in them I didn't have to drink coffee but that's about it. I started using slimquick drink mix (I really don't like taking pills) and it Really helped curb my appetite and cravings. I switched to the pills and they work just as well. I'd recommend them or something with the same ingredients. Just do your research...there's a lot of horror stories out there and it's really not a 'miracle' fix, it just helps you make the right choices instead of going with your compulsion. Which helps if you're a big sugar/bread maniac like I used to be. Smile

What to eat after work out?
I go for something high in protein and/or something with lots of good fats like an cheese, avocados, or fish. Almonds are good too, but they're kindof high in cals. Protein helps repair/rebuild muscle tissue which is especially important if you lift weights but in general good after work outs. Smile

Grill it, cut it into strips then drizzle some honey over it with a little sea salt on a bed of bean sprouts...Mmmm
