I am a 44 year old mother of 4. I have been married for 25 great years to a wonderful man. My children ages are 25, 23, 18 and 16 3great sons and 1 awsome daughter.
I had a heart attack 11/2003. Which made my life change. I went from a size 4 weighing in at 115 to a size 14 weighing in at 162lb. working crazy hours for a great retail store. I was a manager of merchandise. I lived in mass all my life. But in 2005 with my doctor advise I moved to florida were the wealther is more gentle on my heart. When i lived in Mass walking talking, house clean, yard word, everything was hard. I was getting depressed. But since I moved to Florida life has been great. I got a great Cardilogist Dr John Canto at the watson clini. I have had some of the best Doctors in Mass but they never lissened to me, they never really helped me. I was tired all the time. It was hard to breath. And my angina was getting worse everyday. When I started seeing Dr Canto he put me though every test known to man. Then came the drug changes. He found out that yes my heart wasnt getting any better, It was even skipping beats, but the drugs I was taking was making me sick. I was haveing bad reaction to them, toprol, Lisiprol. to name a few I was allergic to. So once he changed my drugs my life started to come back.No more depression, yes I still have angina but I am no longer tired all the time. Last year on my own I started walking very small walks. 1 mile after two month became 2 mile. after 3months I lost 19lbs. I have gone lower but in this year i have yo yo around. But now I can walk any were from 3 miles to 8 miles a day depending on how my heart is feeling for the day. If I feel really sick then I only do 15 mins. on the treadmill. I went from a size 14 to a 8-10. My son is getting married in april 2008. And most of my family & friends from Mass will be coming to this wedding so I want very much to continue my wieghtloss. I also want to feel healthier.
