What's wrong with the modern diet
Not only too many calories, but also genetically modified foods. People years and years ago that ate straight from the earth, without the use of pesticides and chemicals, didn't have half the sickness we have now.
(I didn't read the article, just wanted to add my 2 cents in, sorry if I'm off track!)

Advice for success using fatsecret
That's what I do too. When I sit down in the morning for breakfast (which I record!) I plan out my whole day and what I feel like eating, then if there's any little variations or unplanned items, I just update as I go on the app on my phone! Love it! Such a good system! Smile

Sweeteners...
Honey, or organic non processed sugar. Please don't use Splenda, same garbage as aspartame, maybe not as bad but in the same group. I used to work at a health food store, people used Stevia, honey, molasses. Some people find that liquid Stevia is less bitter than the granular Stevia. Just some suggestions! Good luck!

Total NON Geek
I read the title of this post at first as "non GREEK" and I thought we were posting about yogurt... yeesh. I thought it was an interesting topic of conversation!

Wanted: Good Crosstrainers
I have the Vibram toe shoes, which I thought I'd hate, but I LOVE! I used to have bad shin splints, now, nothing! I've used them for running on gravel and the rocks didn't bother me one bit. I've used them for Zumba too and they worked fine, although I've never done Zumba in regular shoes either. They were affordable, I got mine for $70 at SportChek. Happy shoe shopping! Smile
