I got into the bad habit of late night snacking and lack of sleep during my college years. I began to associate food with every activity; watching TV, reading a book, studying, surfing the web, etc... When I started to notice that all the things I'd been putting inside my body was starting to show on the outside, I panicked!!

I've tried so many ways to lose weight all of which have been unsuccessful. Including the (don't laugh) "Peel Away the Pounds" patch. Which was supposed to work sort of like the birth control patch only instead of preventing pregnancy it would suppress your appetite. I said bon'voyage to that the first week it didn't work. I can't diet to save my life!! I just love food too much. But by choosing alternate or healthier versions of the foods I love and by exercising I lost 11 lbs. Then I slacked off and gained it all back. Now I'm back and ready to do things the right way... again but this time I WILL SUCCEED!!

P90X vs Insanity

Thank you guys for all the wonderful comments.
Actually I'm 120 lbs and 5'4". I don't really want to lose much weight, I'm just looking to get toned. And I wanna be able to go to my kick boxing classes as well.
So the majority of people here say I should go with P90x?But doesn't that require you to work out everyday?

Boosi, I'd still join in with the crowd and rec' P90X over Insanity any day if you're looking for muscle definition/tone. And yes it is a 6 out of 7 days a week workout program but again since you are not looking to lose weight you don't have to follow it to a T. You can either do 3 or 5 times a week. Making sure to rotate between cardio and strength training. Hope that helps?

P90X vs Insanity

I did P90X, completed the 13 weeks...worked out 6 days a week. I lost 18.5 inches and 15 lbs. I am now doing INSANITY and I must say that I miss P90X. I am on week 3 of INSANITY, but not seeing the same results that I saw doing P90X. Actually, they both require you to commit to at least 6 days a week.

Jaiden I agree!! The last time I did P90X I only lasted the first two months (8 weeks) but my results were phenomenal! Now I'm doing Insanity and I'm working my ass off but the results are not as great as with the X! Can't wait to finish Insanity so I can go back to the X Very Happy

P90X vs Insanity

I just started the P90 program this morning and I feel great and full of energy. Although I'm not sure if I should lose the fat first and then start the program or if it will help me lose fat and sculpt up... I'm at 180lbs now and would like to get to 135lbs. any advice is appreciated.
Sam

Sam it doesn't matter. P90X will help you get rid of the fat while building the muscle underneath that will eventually shine through when all the fat is gone. Just don't forget to take your b/a pictures!! It really pays, trust me! Right now I'm doing Insanity then it's on to Chalene X and THEN I'm doing round 2 of P90X. Round 1 (which shouldn't really count since I only) did it for 60 days but if I showed you the pix you'd be amazed! Very Happy So take pictures and keep pushing play!

Hip Hop Abs Really Does Work
Oh wow! Impressive! I am a Beachbody junkie so I know about HHA. I just haven't had the funds to purchase it yet. The best product I've seen the most results with so far was Turbo Jam! I love that program but HHA has been on my mind lately (especially to finally conquer the battle of the bulge once and for all) and to read how great your results are makes me anxious to get it.

Were you or are you currently following any dieting plans while doing HHA? Your results are just so fantastic I want to know everything Smile
