I'm 45, a SAHM with 3 young adult kids. I gained my weight over the last 8 - 10 years. I'm tired most the time, uncomfortable all the time, and I don't want to continue this way. Also at my last exam, my sugar levels were in the pre-diabetic zone and my blood pressure was up again. I need to get in a healthier shape. I'm 5'2" with about 60 pounds to lose in all.

update: I am now just a few days shy of 50. I've had my ups and downs in the weight division of my life. Today I am reviewing everything I've tried, it's duration, and how well it worked for me, and then make it work for my now working life. At least I have regular hours now, that should help get me back on track. Otherwise to the above post - I feel more fatigues, heavier (even though I am a little lighter(, bloated, inflamation is horrible!, my sleep is too short... So many unhealthy feelings going on inside me right now. I need to get on the healthier me wagon again and make sure the sides are too high to fall out it again.

fed up tonight :-(
Like the others say - just keep trying. don't give up. If there is something that you can pin point to answer the "why can't I stay on track?", you can figure out a way to stop it from derailing you next time.

How can I get the person that buys the food, to buy the right food.
I can relate - I work in a grocery store, DH is currently unemployed. He will send me messages to bring this or that home for supper. He is on a fried food kick and is otherwise supportive of my (us) getting healthier - lots of fruits, lots of veggies around - doesn't sound like your situation at all I guess. Anyway - my point is maybe he is too tired after work to go grocery shopping. I know most days I am. And my mind thinks quick, simple fast fixings = processed foods. So I suggest, instead of him going after work, the two of you make your menu and grocery list and then go out on one of his days off and you shop together. Get enough so he doesn't have to get anything besides milk and bread during the work week. Make a day of your day out - have some lunch and then go hit the grocery store and whatever shopping you have to do, even if it's window/dream home shopping.

Try this its working for me
Not sure where her math comes in. The app LOSE IT! is similiar to FatSecret in that you log your foods (and exercise) and it shows you a graph of the three macronutrients - it does the math for you. Or rather it shows you where you stand with what you've eaten/logged. The site has a forum and it was starting to get into the challenges last I visited it, but I keep finding my way back to FatSecret - at least for the journaling and my weight tracker. I haven't logged much food here since I am following weight watchers and use their food tracker. When I was following the Atkins approach this site was great for the carb counting.

What kind of exercises can I do with a Bruised Tailbone and a Tumor on my Tibia?
what about "rebounding"? You would want the support bar, but from what I've read, it's easy on the joints and very doable for anyone. Dick Van Dyke "demonstrated" it on - I think it was the Doctors (I was channel surfing when I seen him, always a fave of mine and he looks so good for his age!) Research it and see what you think - there's even a challenge on here starting tomorrow. Just don't go too cheap on the trampoline, you don't want to risk a less than safe jump to save a few bucks and cause bigger probs if it "fails". Again do some research.
