My name is Judi and I am a 50 yr old homemaker. I am post menopausal for 3 yrs already, and am just now starting to see the effects in the form of belly fat. I have always been able to maintain my weight through healthy eating and exercise but it seems like now I am carrying this belly fat no matter what. I tried the South Beach Diet once a few years ago and took off 10 lbs. quickly, the weight just fell off. I am always about 10lbs heavier than I feel good at, and I have been on and off Atkins for 1 month or so and just can't seem to stick with it. I have the terrible bad habit of bingeing at night, and can't seem to get a handle on that after many, many years of repeatedly doing the same thing. I work out at a gym on a regular basis but because I continue to practice my "bad habit" nothing is changing. Every evening I figure I'll just start fresh the next day and I wake up and eat perfectly all day, only to blow it every night. I need to stop the insanity already, and learn to stick with a diet plan so I can rid myself of this belly fat, once and for all. My mother carries all her weight in the belly as did my grandmother, and we all know how bad that is for our health too. I love this website and hoping through reading all the posts, and the encouraging words of others, I can stick with this.
