Hi from Ohio. I'm a dog lover with an eh job looking to improve it all. On FS for support and tracking the scale mostly, using something else for food journal w/o calorie counting.

I've lost weight successfully before but always get way too intense about it, ruining any chance of maintaining my new numbers. This time around I will not count calories, have cheat days, exercise for hours on end, or hold myself to deadlines. This journey is about slow and steady to maintain sanity and rewire my thinking. I also promise myself not to let career, outside expectations, or my growing list of medical challenges get in my way. Every win counts and I will force myself to count my wins until it becomes my new way of thinking. Who's with me?

To avoid complete obsession and feeling like a failure, I'll focus on little victories and take my goals step-by-step...
Little weight goals: 220, 200, 180, 150, 130, see where my body naturally rests at a healthy weight

Starting a new approach to weight loss. I've done it again and again in my neurotic way (counting everything, over-exercising, all-consuming...) and want to give moderation a shot. Steady sanity is the name of the game here. Looking for some positive friends to keep me from going overboard who I can support in return. Smile
