I haven't been following the fat flush at all. Although I have been minding what I eat. I think the most important thing to point out is that I've started running 5-6 days a week, 3 miles a day (3.5 today!). People are FINALLY starting to notice that I've lost weight. So although in the numbers I look like I"ve lost 1 pound, I think I may have gained muscle weight because I look leaner and my clothes fit better. We all know clothes don't lie!

I could do better diet wise...my birthday was this weekend so that pretty much was thrown out the window. This week I intend to get back on the bandwagon of good, healthy food. I think that mixed with all the running I'm doing should show me some results.

My TWENTIETH highschool reunion is at the end of next month....I'm using that as motivation to get my butt in gear and do the work. I also have a dress I'd like to wear to my cousin's wedding in November and still have at least 5 pounds to go before I fit into that comfortably.

Wishing all of you the very best!

Well it's been 40 days since my last weigh in and I haven't lost a pound. I haven't gained. But alas I haven't lost either. So what's happened sine then? Well, Spring Break...I was on vacation for 2 weeks back home at mamma's house. That translates to not eating as well as I would have liked.

The interesting thing that happened while on vacation...is I went to see a nutritionist and he informed me after a battery of blood tests that I was very anemic. He doesn't like prescribing pills so his advice to me was liver twice a week until my levels come back up. That has been like a light bulb and now I can feel a difference in terms of energy levels etc.

What does that mean for my diet? Until I figure out why I am so depleted I have been advised to cut out things that interfere with iron absortion: caffeine (coffee/tea), dairy, whole grains and bran and certain veggies. Looks like I'm on a forced Fat Flush Phase 1 for a while! We'll see the results!
