38, going through 2nd divorce, and planning 3rd marriage Feb next year (this WILL be the last - becuase this one IS for life!!)

I had lost weight, until my husband upped and walked out on me, whence I went straight back to the comfort eating (I guess we know all about that one, eh?)

Know that lossing weight isn't always easy, but want to re-train myself to healthier eating habbits as am hoping to become pregnant soon, don't want to put on masses of weight and want to be able to loose the weight afterwards.

Thanx for this - sounds great & I'll be trying it soon.

Love the website it's on as well - it's just fab that you can ajust for more/less portions and it adjusts all the ingredients for you and I also love that I can change the measures to metric - I still don't know how much is in a 'cup'!!!

Depression
Hi,

Another one here suffering with depression and exess weight!

With me the weight is a result of the depression, rather than the cause, but it still is a bit of a viscious circle - if I was slimmer i would be happier and more condfident (Yah - like that'll happen!!)

I've been on meds for about 4 years now, and no where near coming off them - I have far more issues to deal with before that happens (I was sexually abused as a child and it still has a huge effect on me even 22 years after it stopped!).

Having said that, with the superb support I've got I am feeling so much more confident and comfortable and have decided that i am going to lose some weight, and hopefully my partner will as well, as he is also over weight (and another depression sufferer).

Can you do Fat Smash if you're Pregnant?
Humm - my question also!!

I figured that if I followed the GI Diet it wouldn't be as bad asall its really doing is re-educating the way you eat, and is a healthy diet for life.

What do others think about that?
