47 years old. Would love to lose 40 lbs by summer 09 (my son's college graduation). I know alot about healthy food choices, and exercise just lack the consistency at this point in my life. NOT interested in any fad diets. Time to take care of myself. I spend alot of time at work and dedicated to my career but really looking for balance. I have a dog so walking is a fun and easy exercise. I also belong to CURVES...need to make time to go there.

treadmills vs outdoors
I really enjoy walking outdoors. Unsure about the impact on my joints...but outdoors (any type weather) is really good for my emotional health. I NEVER walk when slippery out though (broke a leg 10 years ago because of I am smart about the conditon of the sidewalks and roads)...

great story... i know how lucky and blessed I am. The "stressors" really take control of my life and cause me to neglect my health and eating habits. I am really trying to re balance my priorities remembering health, my diet and my exercise.... the story was helpful thanks

Anti depressant pills stopping weight loss
I take melatonin for sleep problems...even though "non chemical" I hear that slows down metabolism?? any word on that
