I am a 22 year old college athlete who wants to lose weight to obtain a more competitive body composition. I am a high jumper, and most good high jumpers are long and lean. (Search Blanca Vlassic, Croatian High Jump Champ) I'm here because I need a network that won't enable me to continue my terrible habits that have gotten me in my current predicament. I hope to give and gain support with others on FatSecret.

PLEASE HELP
Hi Strawberry, I just joined this site the other day and am addicted to it already. I personally try to stay within my ideal range of calories (which for me is 2200- 2400 but varies for everyone). I use the diet calendar on the site to help me keep track of them. I also try and exercise each day, if you are new to exercising, even just brisk walks will produce big results if done consistently. I find exercising is easier if you have another goal in mind. Maybe you can train to walk or run in a 5k by spring! Make some friends on this site and support them in their weight loss as they help you. I would also not weigh yourself everyday, and instead do once every week and maybe set little goals for yourself each month or so.
I'm always here for support and any questions I can answer. That is what works for me and its pretty basic. If you want to see my food guidelines, go ahead and look at my diet (its called back on track) and the tips listed. I got most of my tips from nutritionists and trainers.

How not to lose breasts?
The last thing to come from gaining weight and the first thing to go when losing it...totally unfair
I would say you're going to lose some of it no matter what, but if you do more of a strength training regimen as opposed to just cardio it might help? That's purely my educated guess... I have nothing to back that up.
