water retention, sodium...
I've heard that processed meats are pretty high in sodium and not the healthiest choice
. I was surprised about sodium in oatmeal. I haven't even noticed that, so I'll be paying better attention. Thanks for your post! I wonder if steel cut oats are any better? I often eat mixed wild rice for breakfast, but again, I haven't paid attention to the sodium content. I know they're probably pretty high in carbs though. Good luck!

Carbs
Jillzee00, you can view some good videos on how to cut spaghetti squash on YouTube. I buy my seaweed at Whole Foods, although, you can probably get it at any fresh market or healthy grocery store.

Carbs
You mentioned you were on a low fat diet. Please be careful that you're getting enough fat to satisfy what your body needs. I just know from past, personal experience that a lot of people on low fat diets often do anything to avoid any type of fats whatsoever and I've learned that this is not good for us. Our bodies really need some "good" fats in order to function properly; especially for our brain. I use coconut oil every day. I melt 2 TBSPs in the morning (15 seconds in the microwave) and gulp it down. It's not the most pleasant thing to do, but I've been losing weight and things are going good. It doesn't raise cholesterol and the fats from coconut oil are very beneficial to your health (contrary to what we've been lead to believe re: fats). If you google the "health benefits of coconut oil" you will see many, many articles that discuss how good this oil is for us. I'm only saying all of this because I never knew about it until recently, so if there's someone else out there like me (who doesn't know), I hope this will help in some way! Okay.. enough about that! Good luck with your plan! I hope you have much success!
