A Clean House Observation
I love a clean house. Mine never seems to be as tidy as I would like. Fortuneately, my husband keeps his messes in his office, for the most part. I have one table in the living room where my stuff always lands. The rest gets done routinely. I have OCD when it comes to planning. I have a cleaning calendar, a meal calendar, a yard calendar. On Monday's I plan my week according to the calendars. If it is not there, it doesn't get done. :/

I do need to add, this came to me late in life. While raising kids, I went on cleaning rampages. k8 may have something there about how she was raised, my daughters house is very cluttered. Clean underneath, and where it counts, but very cluttered.

Also, I think my newly learned neatness is in defence of depression. As several of you said, when my house goes, so does my good eating habits, or maybe it is vice versa, but I believe it is all linked to depression.

Has Anyone Else Had Trouble Losing Weight Even Though They Are Sticking To Their Diet?
If you know you are eating right, and if you know you are moving enough, your body will respond..... in time. Just do what you know you need to do to maintain your healthy weight because that is what you have to do forever anyway. The weightloss will happen, you cannot force it but it WILL happen. ; )

Wine Celebration!
I have to agree with k8. If you are eating foods with no nutritional value you are not helping yourself. An occassional sweet treat us just that. A sweet treat. Drinking alcohol on occassion is probably ok for some people. If you are fitting a candy bar's worth of sugar or a bottle or two of wine into a daily diet, you are not doing yourself any good. Is that a judgement on anyone? No, it is not nor is it intended to be. It is a judgement on what is healthy for the human body. Sugar and alcohol have NO nutritional value to add to any diet.
