I'm a happily married woman in my early 50s; my babies are my dogs. I remain young at heart and in thought, but my body shows definate signs of aging. I started gaining weight steadily when I quit smoking, 9 years ago. I can't believe how badly I've let myself go....
I work in a call center and don't care too much for exercise, which I know does not help. Nonetheless, now I've made a commitment to get back in shape as I want to feel better and look better; I also want my energy back! This is a great site. And I thank all for sharing their thoughts. It helps a lot.

Need a fat flush buddy
I'm new to this plan also, Shenty; and I will be happy to buddy up with you and anyone else seeking buddy support. I also need to lose 60-70 pounds. I'm expecting to do it by or before March, 2008.

I'm waiting for my book to arrive also. Until then, I'm sticking primarily with fruits and veggies (fresh and canned on both). Tonight I plan on cutting up a few chicken strips and sauteeing them in olive oil and I may add a teensy bit of butter. Beyond that, I just add a little seasoning, garlic and green onion. I will lay it on a small bed of rice. I've made this before and it's very good. My husband loves it; so do my dogs! (Be sure to get some juice on that rice!) This may not be a legal recipe, but I think it's close enough. PS: Get creative with your spices and good oils and I'm sure you'll lose that weight! You are not alone! Cool
