Tips
I've come to view this as a huge scientific experiment on me. Trying to find out (finally) what works and what doesn't. What works for one person will be a nightmare for another. What works for me? No dairy, no Atkins products. I lost over 3 pounds in 2 days by cutting them out. Be patient. Seriously. That is the Best advice I can give. Don't be afraid to cut things out or add . .. I added nuts (walnuts, almonds) and seeds (flaxseed) the same time I cut out dairy/Atkins products and that really filled the void the lack of dairy created. I Had to have Something after 4 weeks on Induction. I am also a follower of the Blood Type Diet/ Genotype by Peter D'Adamo and basically take the foods he says that are good for my type which match Atkins, ergo the walnuts/pumpkins seeds/flax.
Hope that helps

Flaxseed
I haven't tried it . . . read about it over and over . . . don't like cinnamon . . . and don't like splenda . . . but it sounds really interesting. .. .plus most people seem to put some dairy product on it and I can't do that either. But thanks for the suggestion! Maybe Someday!

Flaxseed
I had to do it . . . I know, another deviation from the 'strict' parameters of induction . . . but I was 'seeing red' and it wasn't because I was upset.
This is week #5 for me on induction so I think I'm allowed to modify at this point somewhat. One of those YMMV.
So I ground up Bob's Flaxseed, added not too much water, and a tablespoon of Torani Sugar Free Syrup and thought it would be VILE. It wasn't . . . it was delicious! Hope this new variable won't throw off the success I had in the past 2 days knocking out dairy and including walnuts and almonds.

Dairy/PMS
There is Nothing better than seeing all of your replies. Thanks for the encouragement and I'm excited about my 'new discovery' . . . I'm all about 'not making a hard thing harder' . . Atkins w/o dairy is a little too sterile for me . . . the nuts seem to be my saving grace. Calories/carbs are in perfect amounts. Thanks again Everyone!

Dairy/PMS
"Down" 3# over night . .. . no cheese sticks, dairy etc and off it comes. . . now that is hard to resist. But, if I can't have dairy, I have nuts and seeds in meticulously weighed portions. It's one or the other for me. Hope this doesn't disqualify me. Had pumpkins seeds and almonds (1 oz each) yesterday and lost 3 lbs. I think I've found my answer.
