Need Buddy
i hear ya on the falling off the wagon thing. that use to be my down fall!!! the only thing you can do for that is just change your mind set. i try to think ok i fell off but the wagon is only a foot away do wanna hop back on now or do i really wanna try and catch it when its a mile away. I also don’t limit what kind of food I eat ie carbs, starches, sugar, I just eat it in moderation and choose good sources. I allow my self to have a slice of pizza just and extra cheese meat lovers whole pie. Or if im craving chocolate I let my self have a bag of those new pretzel m&m 150 cals and very yummy not half a triple chocolate cake this way if I am a little bad it doesn’t feel like I have completely fallen off because im not eating “forbidin food” just a little to much of it. And that’s easy to kick back in its place. Btw I don’t eat these foods every day just if im craving them on occasion. Just thought id clear that up lol

Things I hate about being overweight
Worst for me was/still kinda is

Refusing to EVER sit on any of my boyfriend’s lap or anything that required any of my weight to be on them. Even the amusement park rides that spin and push you together, Nope those where a no go!

Feeling like once a guy touched me he would figure out what my clothing has been hiding

Being the “fat girl” of the group

Having to go shopping with my friends and act like I didn’t like anything in the store when really they just didn’t have anything my size

Always looking to see if I’m the biggest girl in the room. Or playing “is my butt as wide as hers” “I wonder if my stomach sticks out further”

NEVER wanting to be in any pictures EVER no matter what the event. And the fear of when someone sneaks a picture them tagging me in it on face book for all to see.

Not being one of those big girls who loves her weight and is big beautiful and proud. don’t get me wrong I love my curves I like having a booty just not a super size one!

What do you do for a living??
I work for a lab at a major local hospital. I am a senior billing and patient results rep I also deal with HIPPA compliance so its pretty stressful. I am behind a desk all day! I train new employees call doctors and do stacks of reports. I have alway had a desk job since i was 17. Stess and plain old not taking care of myself is what did me in. Although they have food days like everyother week were everyone signs up to bring stuff in and we all eat junk. Im sure that didnt help either. lol the biggest facter in my job that affects my weight is that because we are a lab we are open 24/7 so sometime i have to work different shifts like nights and that just screws me all up. My body just wants me to feed it for energy. Tomorrow i start at 4am thats always a rough shift for me too.

"debate"
oh boy. ok i love to debate i enjoy seeing different points of view because i have come to learn i see thing, the world really, a lot different then most so honestly a good old fashion debate in my book is a ok. But to have a discussion and real debate you have to be open to hearing both sides. Take in everything. If you look at one phrase in a whole paragraph and scrutinize it, and trivialize it into something its not that’s just arguing, that is “my point is right no matter what” There is a fine line between arguing and debating. There is also no need to beat a dead horse If you state an OPINION and someone doesnt agree do we really have to defend it over and over and “make your point” repeatedly In the end the poster is gonna listen to who he/she wants to. arguing over it in a forum is not gonna get him/her to change her mind. Health care professional, weight professional, and scientist don’t even agree on stuff half the time! I’m not here to bash anyone. I don’t keep my mouth shut either if i disagree but i respectfully disagree state my peace and let it be. Imagine what kind of world it would be if we all agreed. Boring! Imagine what kind of world it would be if we felt the need to always arguee a point to the death. Stressful and just plain suckie! I am just seeing the work Debate thrown around here a lot as an excuse for being rude. We all need to remember how we say things can change the whole tone of any conversation. We may not be trying to purposely be insulting but that doesn’t mean we aren’t
