Today is the first day of my journal, but even up to this point, my weight has been a journey. I work up at a vitamin store where nutrition and informational motivation is constantly at my fingertips. I used to be in good condition, never where I should have actually been, and this I contribute to my lack of discipline... even as a child. But as I said afore, I was in good condition, till I went off to college. There I ate all that came my way, mostly a carbohydrate and fat loaded diet. By the time that I reached my third year, I had gone from a size 10 to a size 16 in pants. I started work right out of college, and not really trying, but eating a little bit better, and on occassion exercising I went back from a size 16 and weighing in at 180 pounds back to a size 10 and 160 pounds. I cannot wait to see what I am capable of doing with an intense focus on accomplishing that which I intend to. I just got married, and both my husband and I have the same goal set in mind. I intend to weigh in at 130 pounds, which is technically the higher end of my BMI, but I also know that muscle weighs in more than fat. I desire to be in peak condition which would implement supplementation, increased protien levels, decreased simple carbohydrates while increased complex, the usage of healthy fats, increased water intake, etc. etc. etc. I plan to implement weights, as well as cardio and yoga into my excercise program, as muscle burns more calories and fat than not. Let's see what a program can do, and if I can stick to it. Should be interesting.
