I work midnights on a rotating schedule, so my days off change. At work I climb about 40-50 flights of stairs a night.

I've been working on my weight on and off for about 10 years now. My max weight back then was about 255, but since then I'm usually around 230 give or take 10 pounds. In the past getting to 220 has been my typical diet result, and I've been okay with that. This time I think I'm ready to set the bar a little higher, or lower as far as wight goes.

For exercise, I enjoy jogging on my treadmill while watching TV, and I usually lift weights too.

weight lifting and weight loss
This is my situation.

I started lifting weights on a consistent basis a few weeks ago. Which is also when my weight loss started to slow down, even though my daily calories burned stayed about the same.

Are these two things related and how? How much muscle weight should I assume I am gaining?
