Female, 46, trying to lose weight. I have an easy time eating healthy when I set my mind to it but have a hard time motivating myself to work out. I have lost weight before and can do it again. It's more of a "I have to think about what I am eating thing" than anything else. One of my biggest problems is everyone wants to go out and eat.

I need to lose 40lbs, and I need some motivation. Anybody in my same boat, want to help one another
I will support you. I wish I had someone in my area for a workout buddy. It would be fantastic. I am counting calories and not excluding anything from my diet. Excluding foods will make you want them even more. But the stuff that I shouldn't eat I just eat a bite of. My goal is 15lb by June. 15lb in 3 months is a goal I want to achieve!! Good luck!

When and How Often
I do about 2-3 times a week. If I am really craving something bad or want to go back for another helping that I know I don't need I go weigh myself. that really seems to work for me. It keeps me from overeating

Whats the Best thing you have given up (or cut waaaay back on?)
Diet Coke and all soda. although diet Coke was really the only soda I drank. Now I drink unsweetened ice tea or water

How does YOUR weight come off?
I weigh 2-3 times a week but only thursday mornings weight counts for the week. I weigh myself more than once a week just to keep myself in check. My frustration is the weight is coming off slowly (which is good) but my pant size isn't going down. I have lost 43 lbs and have only gone down 1 pant size

Heavy on A&E
I love the show. I wasn't crazy about the new format on the show. It would be easy to lose weight if everything in your life is monitored for 6 months. The other way was much better. Also, it taught people what it was going to be like to be home and deal with the temptations and pressures while still getting some help. The show is an inspiration to me and I have it set up to DVR every new episode.
