Argentina will play Nigeria on Wednesday in a big Group F World Cup 2014 clash to close out the group stage for each team. Argentina have already confirmed their spot in the Last 16, but Nigeria still need at least a point from this game to guarantee themselves a place in the knock out stages. Argentina come into today's clash having struggled somewhat to get results in their opening two games, but they have managed to claim a maximum six points so far. That is large part has been thanks to star striker Lionel Messi, who has scored winners in each game to defeat Bosnia and Iran.

Argentina could decide to rest key players today ahead of the Last 16, and that may just give Nigeria the chance they need to secure the point to join them in the knock out rounds.

In team news for Nigeria, center-back Godfrey Oboabona should be back and available. He suffered from an ankle injury and was forced to sit out of the win over Bosnia. However, he has declared himself fit ahead of this game and is expected to play a part.

Despite Argentina already being guaranteed a spot in the Last 16, they will still have something to play for today. If they lose it would mean Nigeria leapfrog them into top spot in the group. That would mean Argentina, as the second-placed team, would have a potentially more difficult Last 16 tie.
