Well, after doing the Atkins for 4 weeks and losing not a single pound, except for water weight in the first week, I sadly have to accept that this is not the plan for me
I am going to try the 5 Factor Diet which has had rave reviews everywhere. I have had to order the books from the US, and when they arrive I'll be all go. Got some recipes from the website to get started on. Will let you guys know how it goes. Thank you all so much for your wonderful support

Thanks for everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday. As usual, the day was crap. My birthdays are notoriously crap and yesterday was no exception.
I had some carbo-phobia choc cake and some low carb cheesecake and didn't eat much else, so I was really good. But I ran out of decaf at work, so had two cups of normal coffee. After two weeks of only having decaf and going through caffeine withdrawal, guess what. I was hit with a whopper of a migraine yesterday afternoon! I guess you don't know how addictive caffeine is till you're 'off it'. So all in all, very glad yesterday is over and can get back to the business of being good on Atkins :)

PMS claims another victim. On the bright side, I've stayed the same. Usually during my period my weight goes up between 4 and 10 lb, so I'm not too disappointed :). Tomorrow is my birthday so I'm hoping I'll be able to stay strong. Got a low carb cake ready for the baking and I'll try not to overdo it, but if a girl can't have a treat on her birthday then when can she lol.

I don't really want a birthday next week, but my friends insist I'm having one whether I want it or not.
I don't want to set myself back a week, so does anyone have any suggestions for a low carb treat that doesn't consist of meat & veg?
Any contributions would be much appreciated.
