So this is the first day that I'm really going to try to get into shape. I have made halfway attempts in the past but never really stuck with it. I've done the whole gym thing but found it doesn't work with my work and life schedule. Refit Revolution on YouTube works great but it's so much better to do with another person or a group and no one else seems to have the time for it. I know it just sounds like a bunch of excuses why I haven't been exercising but I actually enjoy it. That feeling of your muscles tingling and pulsing like they've just woken up after a year long hibernation is amazing. But my biggest weight loss obstacle is my diet. I have always had the mentality of "life is short, I'm going to eat what I want to make myself happy rather than eating something good for me but that tastes not so great". I'm trying to change that way of thinking. There's a few things I just can't bring myself to enjoy (I'm looking at you brown rice) but mostly I can make myself enjoy things I usually don't. Mainly by making an interesting meal with new ingredients. I will be starting a 2-week meal plan on the 1st complete with calorie count and even snacks! It took several hours of research finding meals that work for a healthy and busy lifestyle rather than just eating salads every day. So if anyone is interested in it, please let me know and I'll send it to you.
