I had gastric bypass January of 2007 and in 10 months dropped down to 172 lbs from over 350 lbs. In the last 5 years I have seen my weight slowly increase due to having a sedentary significant other who has poor eating habits. It's just so hard to be self motivated! Food is seriously an addiction.

I try to get in the gym and get going real strong and fall off. That pattern seems to repeat itself over and over. I just started back in the gym (5/17) AND have encouraged my significant other to get of his butt and come with me. This has been a TREMENDOUS motivator for me.

What led me to fatsecret.com was a co-worker, who knows I'm trying to get healthier, made a comment about my lunch choice (Velveeta shells and cheese single serve). I was like, "it's small, it can't be THAT bad." She told me to google it and this site came up and I started playing around with it. I figured I'd give it a go and see what happens. I'm not sure I will keep up with it, but I can try.

Lesh...that's what i told my juicer friend. Told her to get a blender instead...but she loves her juicer bc she didn't like the thickness of the blended fruit drink. She has a sensitive palate. Well when she got her juicer, i got my ninja. I really don't use it as much as she uses the juicer. I always thought a lot of the nutrients were in the skin and flesh not the juice. Hmmm.

the website worked for me, Yes2health. I will check it out. Thank you for the suggestion!

mummydee, I have a best friend that is a sworn juicer. she juices once or twice a day for her meals and when she's doing a lot of marathon training, she juices more. she said she can tell a HUGE difference in how she feels when she juices and when she misses it. I just haven't brought myself to get one because I have a small kitchen and it is just another appliance that takes up spaceā€¦.that and I have to do more research on what the best brand and model is.

I just started taking the GNC brand of a women's multivitamin called women's ultra mega. It's only been about a week but happy with it so far. I had blood work done in November and had severe anemia, vitamin d, b, folate, and iron were all very low. My lipids were so phenomenal the doctor said i just need it tested ever 5 years (my mom goes every 3 months so I'm glad I'm not in her shoes). I'm hoping the multivitamin is enough but thought I'd try to get feedback on any pre or post workout habits that help. I know there is no 'miracle pill'. Lol.

I had tried the Apple Cider Vinegar several years ago (like over a decade). I didn't stick with it so, of course I didn't notice any results. I haven't heard of the kind with "Mother" in it. I will look into it. Thank you for the suggestion!
