i am 27 years old from philadelphia PA, married and madly in love. i have been married since i was 22 and it was the best decision i ever made. i know that i am over weight but i never had the "want" to lose it, my husband loves me as i am. well when we started attemping to have a family, it wasnt happening... well 3 years later and i am told that i have PCOS and i need to lose weight. so not only am i here to lose for me and my husband but i am here for my future baby. i need to do this to have a family and i was put here to be a mother. you know what that means... that this is going to be easy for me. i want it.

carb-cycling
so im still losing... about 2-3lbs a week. i have alot to lose so that is normal... but i was thinking about carb-cycling.

i was able to lose faster when i was younger... for the obvious reasons but i also wasnt as strict as i am now.

just wondering if anyone is doing this?

does it help?

Joining a Gym
have you tried planet fitness?

i hear LA is good too. you gotta really be comforable around people to go to these big name gyms. there are generally alot of people there unless you do a 24 hr gym and go late at night. =]

Question to all emotional eaters: Is anybody else trying to find a substitute to food?
im a total emotional eater.. always have been. i try and write when i feel like i need to eat bc of stress or any other reason i want to shove my face. i have always been big into art and i write poetry... trying to get a book together eventually... so i try and do one of those things. its not always easy...

we are all here bc in one way or another we depend on food... so we need to try and find a healthy way to rid ourselves of that.

food is to help us live.. not a friend or something to make us happy or feel better... a BIG lesson that i need to learn.. but im getting there. its always gonna be hard. over eating/emotional eating is an addiction... you need time to break the cycle.
