Measurements of food items
I often see terms like this one; 1 unit (yield from 1 lb ready-to-cook chicken)and I don't really understand what that means. What is the 1 unit you are yielding from the 1 lb? I understand for instance what 1/2 of a small chicken breast with no skin or bone means because chicken breasts is usually two and when I take half of small chicken breast it makes sense to me the measurement and calories involved. I just don't get this '1 unit' phrase and how to measure that to get the calories it says it is. Can anyone clarify that for me pleeeeeease? thanks so much!
