6 foot 2, eyes of blue!

My name is David, 49 years old. I'm a Toad (old nickname) obviously from Utah (re: my username) and have been on the weight trail for many years... basically from childhood. Although I've always been heavy (big ol' offensive lineman, not a running back LOL ), I was in relatively good shape for most of my life, but 3-1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, and I have been much more conscious of my eating and exercise habits since. I plan to get myself back down to my ideal weight (which, by no means, is my goal BMI weight! :? )

I have a wife, who works for Weight Watchers and is skinny and healthy-food conscious. I have 5 children, three adults and two younger children -- 3 girls and two boys (GBBGG). I love to ride my bicycle and my motorcycle, and never get enough of either! :( I enjoy exercising and love the outdoors.

I have recently started to increase the intensity and frequency of my daily routine, and have felt the benefits. Combined with my food intake consciousness, it should make a good difference in my weight.

Love to ride my bike, both my Specialized mountain bike, and my Suzuki m50 Cruiser. I'd say it's because I love the feel of the wind in my hair, but that's getting thinner... and I wear a helmet besides! :)

One wife, five kids, and love 'em all!

Are you BORN TO BE WILD?? --->Challenge!
My commitment:
I will eat two more servings of vegetables during the day. I know we're supposed to have 5 servings a day (Strive for Five!), but I rarely eat more than 1 or two, so here goes.

GO GREEN! We can pick it up!

Green Jaguars, are you BORN TO BE WILD??
Sorry, team, I missed weigh-in on Saturday! I had a blow-out on one of my sneakers! Laughing Anyways, I gained this last week. I felt good that it was only 2.6 pounds, considering all the junk happening in my family with my little girl in the hospital. We didn't eat a normal sit-down dinner for the entire week!

Things are back to normal, so WATCH OUT! I'm burning rubber again!

Stretched Yesterday.
Stretched Today.

Not sure I like it yet, but it does help me recover from a hard workout faster, it seems!

GO GREEN! Think skinny! VRRRROOOOOOOMMMMMM!

Are you BORN TO BE WILD?? --->Challenge!
Sorry that I didn't report yesterday, but I did do my stretches. My life is kind of hectic, but the stretching makes the day end well, and it makes it start good too.

I can't quite reach my ankle, yet, when I stand straight up, but my knee is well within reach. Gotta keep stretching!
