Weigh in was good...two pounds gone and that is with a little pasta and a cannoli!!! I am proud of sticking to this diet and the exercise! It keeps me focused and I am avoiding the temptations left and right. I stared down a bag of chips today and decided to have an apple instead!!! I will be heading off to LA next week for work and hope that California cuisine is as small as it appears on television shows and in cookbooks!!!

Okay, Farina fans...I have discovered an amazing twist from the Biggest Loser cookbook...when the Farina is done, add two tablespoons of canned pumpkin, some cinnammon and nutmeg and a splash of vanilla soy and you have an AMAZING bowl of fabulosity!!! The cookbook states to sprinkle a teaspoon of Grape Nuts on it, but I did not do that as I do not want to risk my dental work...screw the diet!!!

Happy smashers, pals!

Good morning everyone! I am back from my jetsetting around the US in a weekend. I did okay in New Hampshire. I was taken out for my birthday and had some pasta, it was whole wheat, and a cannolli (sp). I am not a dessert eater, but the waitress brought it for my birthday and I decided to eat it! It was great! I have taken the half and half and sugar/Splenda out of my coffee and am actually enjoying the taste of the coffee and milk or soy milk. The pasta incident was Saturday, but we did walk that night for 40 minutes, so I feel no guilt. Sunday was back smashing and now I am repeating some detox to get my body back into the swing of things. I have not weighed in this week, yet, but will tomorrow morning...I guess I am fearing the worst. Clothes fit and I feel great. Jim's mom said to me when she greeted me at the airport..."Damn, you look great! How much weight have you lost??!" I feel like a missionary with a cause and bought her a copy of Dr. Ian's book! She is certainly not overweight, but loves to eat right and exercise!

It is hot here in Maryland and I am eating my morning Farina and sweating! Have a great day everyone! Smash away!

Hey all...I forgot to tell you...I bought "The Biggest Loser Cookbook" on Monday and it is GREAT! I watch repeats of the show sometimes when I am exercising and it gives me great inspiration. The book looks great and there are recipes that cover so many of the diets on here! Check it out!
