A year before becoming pregnant with my son I reached the perfect weight. I loved my body.
Then came baby... and an extra 50lbs. I lost most of it with in his first year, then i quit smoking and put it all back on, plus some. By his 2nd birthday i had reached 160lbs, all that weight on my 5'2" frame was not pretty.
Losing weight as an ex-smoker and a busy mom with a 10 hour a day desk job has been the longest and hardest battle i've had to fight.
I have yo-yo'd between 150 and 160 for a year now and finally put my foot down. 2010 is the year, this weight is coming off!!

My goal weight is 125 lbs, but more important than weight is size. My main goal is to reach my pre-baby waist measurment.
Pre-baby: 24"
Current: 29"

Does anyone else have this problem?? weight increase during monthly cycle
Yup, I was down a pound this week until i woke up this morning feeling crampy and super bloated. Got on the scale and sure enough, back up a pound. GRRRR!!
When i was heavier i would retain up to 3-4 pounds, but i guess the less you weigh the less you retain. At my current weight i usually retain 1-2 pounds around that time.

Just make sure and avoid high sodium foods and drink lots of water!

Drivers License Weight vs. Actual Weight
In Texas our DL's dont show our weight, but when i was 18 i got a speeding ticket, and there was a spot for the officer to put my height and weight (on the slip he gave me).
He was able to get my height off my DL but apparently guessed my weight. At the time I was about 120-125lbs. The officer 'guessed' 140. I was so mortified!!!

Looking for a restaurant with healthy options!
I was going to say Ruby Tuesday as well. They have all kinds of roasted and grilled veggies to order as sides, and they have the calorie count of a lot of their meals right on the menu!

Challenges of loosing weight while feeding a skinny toddler
I've always had a hard time getting my son to gain weight also. He's an extremely picky eater and would rather play than eat.

I almost always feed him exactly what i eat (a few times a week I heat him up some Tyson Chicken nuggets or a frozen pizza, his favorites) along with a big glass of whole milk, chocolate whole milk if i feel like giving him a treat.

That way he is offered the same healthy foods i eat, but i know he is still getting plenty of calories even if he doesnt touch a thing on his plate.

Gym Pet Peeves
@ alli, i totally take offense to that! I only have one pair of gym pants!! Razz

My peeves are

-women who sit on one of the 3 benches in the locker room to text/talk on the phone/twiddle their thumbs when i'm looking for a spot to change.

-leaving crazy amounts of weight on the leg press (or any machine, for that matter!). Although it does add an extra aspect to my work out, i'd rather not have to remove 100+ pounds of weight before i can do my leg presses.

-and lastly, those who sweat all over a machine, and then dont clean it up!!!! So freaking gross!!
