I am a sixty-nine year old retired sixth grade teacher. I enjoy walking daily and bike riding. I have two grandchildren and love spending time with them. My husband and I were high school sweethearts and have been married for 50 years. I worked while he went to college, and then I went to Ohio University getting my degree in education and masters degree in special ed.
I joined FS in 2013 to record calories and do a monthly weigh-in. I find that not weighing every day/week works best for me. My first record was 155. I dropped slowly and reached 129. I quit recording for awhile, then got serious again after going back up to 145. I read so many of your comments about how much was being lost doing LCHF. So, in January, 2018, I thought I'd give low carb a try. Amazingly, it seems to work. I will keep on it until I reach goal of 129; then I'll go back to Mediterranean diet. I'm really concerned about heart disease.
